The HPE 544+FLR-QSFP Dual Port 40G QSFP+ FlexibleLOM is a server network adapter with 2 × 40 Gb/s QSFP+ ports for HPE ProLiant Gen9 / Gen10 servers. Total bandwidth is 80 Gb/s. If your server hosts virtual machines or attaches to a storage network, the onboard gigabit port is usually the first bottleneck you hit — and fixing it is the cheapest upgrade available. The QSFP+ interface needs separate SFP modules; pick the module for your distance and fibre type, and check that your switch accepts it — some switches only take their own brand. FlexibleLOM cards sit in the board’s dedicated slot and leave your PCIe slots free; a PCIe card will not fit a FlexibleLOM slot, or the other way round.
